These are two of the many stories told of witnessing the spirit of Lucy Keyes and her mother Martha on or around Wachusett Mountain.

Jimmy is a night shift groomer at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area. He experienced the spirits in the winter of 1986.

Jean Stratton Jean Stratton
Jean is a former resident of Princeton. She and her family lived on Mirick Road, not far from the Keyes property, until 1956. Jean recalls hearing the voice of Martha Keyes when she was 14 years old.

The recording:
This recording is said to have been made by Philip Oberman who resided on Mountain Rd. in Princeton from 1938 until 1961. It is now part of the collection in the Princeton Historical Society. It is the only known physical documentation of the Spirit of Martha Keyes.
